Agrimos

Agrimos® is a specific combination of manno-oligosaccharides (MOS) and glucose (B-glucans) extracted from the yeast cell walls of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Mos are natural oligosaccharides, composed of various mannose chains, that block pathogen colonization within the digestive tract of the animal. Pathogens attach themselves to the cell wall of the host animal's hind gut where they have a negative impact on the animal's health and performance. The control of such pathogens presents an obvious benefit to maintaining good animal health and preventing serious diseases. The interest in this application is in limiting pathogen invasion by acting at the bacterial attachment level (essential for infection). B-glucans, essential components of yeast cell walls, are particularly important to support the non-specific immune system of the animal.

Agrimos is approved by OMRI and GarantieBio-Ecocert for use in organic production.
