Escherichia coli

General Bacteria Challenges  |   Clostridium difficile  |   Escherichia coli  |   Salmonella  |

E-coli are a strain of bacteria that oftentimes causes stomach cramping and bloody diarrhea. The symptoms typically take effect within the first week after the bacteria infect the system, but there are certain strains of E-coli that produce no symptoms at all. The effects of E-coli can be reduced or limited by reducing the bacteria's food supply or reducing the concentration of the population through out-competing or pathogen binding (both Modes of Action of probiotics and prebiotics).
